We recommend you bring a laptop, iPad, or notebook to take notes. All other training materials will be provided.

BOTH! Our ground school is in person and takes place at the Kool Wings Academy Office. However, it will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

After completing Ground School, you’ll be ready to take, and pass, the FAA Knowledge Test. You will also have the opportunity to continue into personalized flight training with an instructor. From there you will gain flight hours and eventually take the Practical Test to earn your Pilot Certificate.

No prior experience is required for Ground School. It is designed beginner and advanced ratings alike.

Ground School provides you with the essential knowledge. It is the first step to the Pilot Certification process. You will also need to complete flight training with a certified flight instructor and pass the FAA practical test.
